Station Lists

This section will explain how station lists are made and how they appear within your TV/Room Controls tab on devices.

What are Station Lists?

Station Lists are lists of either TV channels or radio stations and are stored within a 'room control configuration'.

Station lists are made of a series of items and include a channel number, a thumbnail image and a relevant radio link (should it be a radio station listing).

Each list of channels is its own station list. For example, if you are displaying TV channels, you would have one station list for entertainment and another for news etc.

Station lists require a Room Control integration via an infrared connection. Please reach out to Crave support if you wish to discuss integrating with your In-Room TV's.

How do Station Lists Appear on Devices?

Depending on how many station lists you have made and applied to the room control configuration, you will be able to see each station list on the left hand side of the tablet.

As you press on a station list, you will see each channel or station listed numerically with its assigned number and thumbnail. It is important when building TV channel station lists that the channel numbers given to each station match with the in-room tv's channel guide to ensure each link works correctly.

Creating a Station List

To create a station list, you will need to navigate to Integrations -> TV & Room Controls -> Station Lists in the CMS and press Add.

Name your station list appropriately as this will be guest facing and make your first station by using the green plus icon. Name the station and set its channel number, you can leave the 'scene' field blank.

To add a thumbnail to your stations, use the pen and paper icon to the right of the station and click on the images tab to insert the image.

For radio stations, you will need to click on the pen and paper icon on your station and set the URL via this page to link the channel.
